SJ Taco Festival

 Yesterday we made our way to the Taco Festival in San Jose. We had made sure we worked up an appetite before heading over. This was our first year attending and I believe the 3rd year that this event has taken place, so we really did not know what to expect. We arrived about an hour or two past opening and could not believe the amount of people already there. Thank goodness we bought our tickets ahead of time, the wait looked like it was anywhere from 30-40 minutes.

As soon as we entered we could just see the rows of trucks parked and the lines of people waiting to place their orders. There were so many choices, so much variety and our only game plan was to try the trucks with short lines. Mostly all the tacos I had tasted were really good except for the super spicy ones (sadly I'm a wuss). My favorite (which also got my vote for the taco contest) was the last taco we had. It was a pulled pork taco with some really good sauce, it came from the same truck we ordered thai tea and sticky rice with mango which may also have had something to do with making it my favorite.

Overall it just really was a great festival to go to. The weather was great, the location was perfect ( I love the history museum) and the food was not only tasty but well priced too (for a festival) which meant more tacos! We will definitely be there next year.
